New Blood Runs Deep.....

Erzsébet Báthory is the subject of my latest piece, BLOODY BÁ†HORY, which, will be performed at Hartford Stage on Monday, May 2nd at 7:00 p.m. as a part of an evening of readings of new plays by young playwrights.

It's reported that from 1605 to 1611, Countess Báthory acted as the most prolific serial killer to date. At her trial, she was accused of murdering over 600 servant girls and bathed in their blood to preserve her own vanity. Was she the monster that legends have painted her to be? Or were her thorns merely made of paper?

Learn more about the dreaded "Blood Countess" and see past the legend....
